Fatigue in Early Pregnancy

Most women start feeling extremely tired shortly after their first missed period, and their energy levels don't return to normal until well into the second trimester (weeks 14 to 20 on average). Although it's hard to get enough rest when you're working full-time, at least you can try to:

Take a power nap at your desk during your lunch hour or during your morning and afternoon breaks.

Flop out on the couch as soon as you get home from work.

Head to bed earlier than usual so that you can get the 10 hours of sleep per night that is recommended during pregnancy.

Eating as well as possible and getting some form of regular exercise will also help you to ward off fatigue.

10 hours of sleep recommended when you are pregnant? Are you kidding me? I am lucky to get max 4 1/2 hours of sleep a day. I work 40 hours a week from 10pm to 6am, then it is time to come home and get all the kids up and ready for school. One is not in school yet, the other gets off the bus at 12:30. My relief comes at 4pm when my oldest daughter(14) gets home from school with the other girl. I take off to bed immediatly then get up a 8:30 to get ready for work and start it all back over again.....

I was told that I might be having twins and that is why I am sleepy all day long. I have a hard time at night and sleep about 6 hours.
