Bridget Avila

Bridget Avila is a freelance writer in Annapolis, Maryland. Once upon a time she was a writer at the National Academy of Science and in the White House. Today she'd be hard-pressed to name the members of the Cabinet, but she maintains a facade of domestic organization and productivity between baking a mean brioche and running the carpool to soccer practice. She was the health columnist for What's Up? Annapolis magazine and a restaurant critic for the The Capital newspaper. Though she is occasionally homesick for her native Louisiana, she enjoys having the Chesapeake Bay as a playground for her three young children. She writes about life and food on her blog, Round the Kitchen Table.
