Biography

Dr. Christine M. Ricci is currently the Director of Research for Ni Hao Kai-lan! and Team Umizoomi on Nickelodeon. She is also the former Director of Research for Go, Diego, Go! and Producer/Director of Research and Development for Dora the Explorer.
Dr. Ricci oversaw the development and implementation of the educational and cultural curriculum goals in these series as well as was responsible for all formative research. Since 2002, Dr. Ricci has been an educational consultant for NickJr.com,where she was involved in the development of online games.
Prior to her work at Nick Jr., Dr. Ricci was a Research Associate for Metis Associates. She coordinated the research and evaluation activities for several large New York City School Districts and city-wide community programs in the areas of bilingual and dual language education, literacy, and technology in education initiatives.
In addition, Dr. Ricci has authored over 50 childrenâs books, and was a frequent contributor to Nick Jr. Family Magazine. Dr. Ricci received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Massachusetts.
