Biography
Dr. Andrea Garcia is Associate Professor in Literacy Studies at Hofstra University, and director of the Reading/Writing Learning Clinic at the Saltzman Community Services Center. Her research interests include literacy development and instruction in multilingual settings, as well as literacy assessment and evaluation. She is an avid supporter of the use of childrenâs literature in literacy teaching.
