Biography

Angela M. Patterson, M.D., is a wife and mother of two. She is double board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics, and has practiced medicine in the Washington-Baltimore area for over 15 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at University of Maryland Medical Systems.

Angela served as attending neonatologist and assistant professor at Howard University Hospital/College of Medicine and on the medical advisory board member for SIDS Alliance and OID (Other Infant Deaths). She has been an advisor for NIH D.C. Initiative to Reduce Infant Mortality and has served as an on-air expert on Washington's WUSA Channel 9 on the latest updates on SIDS prevention. Currently, she is an attending neonatologist at Washington Hospital Center and a member of the advisory board for Saphia Vitamin Waters.
