Dr. Anita Gurian

Anita Gurian, Ph.D., is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center and the executive editor of the Center's award-winning website, AboutOurKids.org. She received a B.A. from Hunter College and an M.S. in education from Adelphi University. She went on to earn a second M.S. in school psychology from St. John's University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Hofstra University. In addition to being published in Clinical Pediatrics and Children's Hospital Quarterly, Dr. Gurian is also the author of a number of books and book chapters.
