Barbara K. Snyder, M.D., is associate professor of pediatrics and chief of adolescent medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. She is also the medical director of the adolescent unit at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital.
Dr. Snyder attended George Washington University School of Medicine and completed a pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital National Medical Center and SUNY-Upstate Medical Center. She received fellowship training in adolescent medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Snyder is board-certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. She is a Fellow of the Society for Adolescent Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She teaches medical students and residents about adolescent health and has an active clinical practice, with special interest in adolescent gynecology and eating disorders.
