Biography

Dr. David Baskin is a neurosurgeon at the Methodist Neurological Institute (NI) and a Professor of Neurosurgery at the Weill Cornell College of Medicine. He also serves as the first director of the Methodist NI Neurosurgery Residency Program.
Dr. Baskin has a special interest in autism and autism spectrum disorders. He is actively involved in research investigating the roles of toxins in the environment in the pathophysiology of autism. He serves on the Scientific Review Council of Autism Speaks. He is the Chairman of the Environmental Subcommittee of Autism Speaks, which funds approximately $2 million a year in research regarding autism and the environment.
