Biography

Debbie Glasser, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and past Chair of the National Parenting Education Network. A nationally recognized authority on parenting and child development, Dr. Glasser has been interviewed by numerous magazines, newspapers, television and radio shows including Parenting, Redbook, South Florida Parenting, Child, San Antonio Express-News, Balanced Living, San Jose Mercury News, Herald-Mail, Digital Hour, Woman's Day, Family Circle, Parents, Baby Talk, Nick Jr. Magazine, First for Women, Scholastic, CNN.com, The Copley News Service and PBS Public Television. She also served as the on-air parenting expert for WSVN's Parent to Parent, a weekly segment.


Glasser is also an experienced writer and columnist. Since 1999, she has penned "Positive Parenting" (a weekly feature of the Miami Herald), offering honest, humorous slice-of-life anecdotes and reliable information about issues ranging from sleep challenges to stepfamilies. Glasser has also served as a writer and consulting editor for Teach More/Love More, a monthly newsletter for parents of children ages birth to five. In addition, she authored a chapter in The Experts' Guide to the Baby Years (Clarkson Potter, 2006) where she was named one of "100 of the world's most trusted parenting experts." The recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the South Florida Business Journal's "Up and Comer Award" for professional achievement and community service, Dr. Glasser is a well-established psychologist, writer, speaker and media guest. She lives in Virginia with her husband and three children ranging in age from toddler to teen.
