Deborah Madison is the founding chef of Greens Restaurant and the author of eight cookbooks, including This Can't Be Tofu! Several of her books have received both International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and James Beard Awards, including Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone and The Savory Way, both of which were named IACP Cookbooks of the Year,
and Local Flavors: Cooking and Eating from America's Farmers' Markets.
After many years as a chef and cooking teacher, Deborah now lives in Galisteo, New Mexico, where she writes, gardens and works on issues pertaining to local agriculture and Slow Food. Learn more about her at http://www.deborahmadison.com.
