Lona Sandon, M.Ed., R.D.

Lona Sandon, M.Ed., R.D., L.D., is an assistant professor of clinical nutrition at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. Ms. Sandon holds a master's degree in educational technology from the University of Texas, Brownsville, and a B.S. in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Minnesota. She was named the 2005 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year by the Texas Dietetic Association and received the 2006 Excellence in Media Award from the Dallas Dietetic Association.
