Biography

Richard Gallagher, Ph.D., is the director of the Parenting Institute within the New York University Child Study Center and an assistant professor of psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Gallagher is the designer and evaluator of Thriving Teens, a program to help prevent smoking and substance use in young teens. His work has been published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, the Journal of Individual Psychology, Child Psychiatric Clinics of North America, the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences and the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
