Shari Daniels, L.M., C.P.M., M.S. Ed., is quite possibly one of America's most experienced midwives. Known as the mother of modern-day midwifery, she has delivered over 10,000 babies and opened the first midwife-run birth center in the U.S. in El Paso, TX. She has also trained over 500 midwives from coast to coast. She is the president and chief midwife of the Miami Maternity Center and director of the International School of Midwifery. Shari and the birth center are the subjects of the internationally successful show House of Babies on the Discovery Health channel.
