MommaKayy 6/18/2012 - 9:55PM report abuse	The vacuum cleaner. Not even close to kidding when i tell you this is an instant fix. He will be screaming. And as soooon as I turn that sucker on INSTANT SILENCE. Its actually kind of ridiculous. And if my vacuum and I cant take all the cleaning, the bath is also an instant fix!

cutehippy420 4/13/2012 - 8:00AM report abuse	dad plays the rocket game. ypu sit he baby on your lap, get animated with your voice, do a count, 1 2 3 4, go go go. raise him up in the air and do it again. our son is 5 weks and he trys jumping with his legs when dad starts the count. he has colic so we have trouble finding what works...

mommymaid 3/17/2011 - 12:20AM report abuse	I love The Happiest Baby On The Block. The 4th trimester concept makes so much sense. We turned on a box fan then bought a sound machine. We keep it set on ocean waves and it works like a dream. We also found a portable sleep machine at sleepybees.com. It lets us take the comforting sounds with us.

If it's not formula or need of a diaper change, we do three things: 1) Try the vibrator on his bassinet; 2) Turn on Pandora.com (kid loves celtic rock); and/or 3) Give him the pacifier. If he's still fussing after all that, we either pick him up and hold him or just leave him be till he calms down (usually pick him up). It works.

Whenever my little girl is in her crib in her room and won't go to sleep I just vacuum my livingroom and the sound immediately stops her jabbering/fussing and she will go to sleep!! Her room is upstairs so the sounds aren' too loud to her... She's 16mos old and it's STILL working... GO FIGURE!! If you're about to lose your mind, DEFINATELY worth a try! ;o)
ansleyb86 9/8/2010 - 12:50PM report abuse	When my son is crying I just carry him outside and he immediately stops. Or if I can't get him outside I turn on the water at the sink and stand near it. He has always stopped crying when I do either of these two things!
newmommy0410 6/10/2010 - 3:47PM report abuse	Talking to them in a high pitched, excited voice right when their face says "I'm about to cry" helps a lot! My daughter stops making the face and hardly ever starts to cry when I do that. You have to catch them before they start! Utilize the cues! :-P
