... ovulation calculator last night and it said the first day of ovulation would be on May 1st. hubby went out of state on the 2nd for work, but we had intercourse the night before, on the first. Could it be possible that I may have gotten pregnant that night? or is it more of a chance later on in the ovulation?

So I don't know. I'll probably take a test middle of next week or end of next week.

... 17th. According to my online calendar I wasn't ovulating on the days I tried. I really wanted to try this month, I know it's not that simple, but I'm getting nervous. When I conceived my daughter I was also due for a period around the same time, maybe a bit later. I have very irregular periods so I'm not sure about the time line. Has anyone here had sex when they weren't supposed to be fertile and conceived?

... at different times. Some as early as 10-12 days, normally 14 days, and some as late as 17-19 days in the cycle. I have been researching all this recently. I think I am pregnant but a test won't even register a positive until 22 days into your cycle, and I am stuck waiting to know. SO anyway the answer is YES you could still be pregnant even if you started trying after the traditional day # 14 of your cycle.. good luck =)

... good indicator for ovulation. I'm dry now, no mucus, so I'm assuming that there is no chance of me getting pregnant now if I'm not already pregnant.
Is there a chance of getting pregnant or even being fertile when there is no mucus.

... am pregnant with my second or not. Some times it takes a while espcially if you are stressed about it. Have you already tried the ovulation kits? Have you got your man's sperm counted? I would try both of those before I started fertility drugs. IMO, good luck!

sight pops up and I see what it is!! It immediately got my attention. I'm 28 and have no children. I want to conceive a baby before the new year!!! I've got me a couple of them OVC kits. But I'm confused. I started my cycle April 20th. I ended my cycle April 24th. When am I supposed to take the test. It says something about counting the days between your last cycle and your new cycle? And its around like 26 days. So if I understand the test correctly, it says i should test 11 days after your first period? So if I started my cycle April 20th, and ended April 24th; does this mean I test 11 days after April 20th or April 24th? Somebody please help me to understand. Im turning 28 in May. My Grandmother aswell as my own mother were diagonosed with thyroid cancer at the age of 30-31. I'm so frightend that I've waited to long. Me and my husband have not practiced safe sex for years. However, we only make love like once a week. Either way I think it's safe to say that I'm not very fertile. We know he is. anyhow someone please contact me, before I convince myself its not possable and fear I will lose my meaningless.
Alone, and completely clueless to the conceiving procedures I need to go about. Sorry for the long dramatic ordeal of this message... However, someone please if you can mentor me on all the info I can read, use, or get, To help me to know when I'm ovulating, and the best ways once reaching ovulation. Despretately waiting for a miracle, and information Haili..

... Because I think that you are suppose to be the most fertile from days 12-17. So that sounds about right. Have you ever talked to your gyne if you think that you have fertilty issues? I don't know how long you have been trying to conceive, but it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor first. And also if you have a concern with the past family history of thyroid cancer. I hope that everything works out for you! And if you need more advice or just want to talk, I will be here! :o)

... they will give you some ideas. As far as the test, it's typically 11 days from the START of your last period so that means test 11 days after April 20th but if it doesn't show up, then wait a few days and try again.

...a few made it here from what I can figure out. I have just been too frusterated traying to navigate and read posts, and it seems so different to me. I'll off to another board that is much easier to use. Just wanted to say goo dluck to all the TTCers, and if/when I ever do get pregnant I'll post.
I wonder if anyone else is feeling this way too, or if you're sticking it out?

Once I got that test and it came out good, we scheduled to get DH's sperm count done to make sure the problem wasn't him. He couldn't get an appointment for 2 months. While we were waiting for his appointment, we got pregnant.

it may just be in my head... every once in awhile, i feel like i can feel movement in my stomach, i feel like my stomach's gotten bigger, i've been kinda sick, had headaches more often, & my breasts are tender sometimes... but... i had a heavy period that started on Easter, & that's the only reason i don't think i'm pregnant. Because i know you can have a period when you're pregnant, but is it possible to have a heavy one if you're pregnant? just wondering. I'm thinking about going and getting a test, but i don't know if i should.

... that in the past when I was trying to get pregnant, it was easy to assume that every little twinge or pain in my breasts was a symptom.
- Apr 10 2008, 09:34 PM
heavy period on Easter, and you had sex 2 weeks after (when you were ovulating which would have been on the 6th)...then you might, just might, be pregnant now cause it's the 10th. i doubt you'd be feeling things like breast tenderness so early...but there's a total chance that you are. I'd wait for a test though until you were a litte bit more pregnant because even the early ones can't tell this soon. Not to pry, but did you and your partner "try" at the beginning of hte week? Whatever the case, good luck with everything!
- Apr 10 2008, 09:53 PM
... tenderness, it was just in my head. Also, I'm in my 19th week, and I am just now feeling like my tummy's slightly bigger, and I still haven't felt any movement, maybe just like slight (VERY slight) gas-like movements, but nothing recognizable. You wouldn't be feeling movement yet.
