Daily dish
Funny name. Yummy meal. Tell the kids it's like an omelet in a pie crust and pretty soon they'll be saying, "Hey, Mom! Quiche me!"
Dish Needs:
5 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 frozen pie crust
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Dish It Out:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs with a wire whisk.
3. Add the milk and the salt, stirring well to mix.
4. In the bottom of the pie crust, sprinkle the cheese.
5. Pour egg mixture over the cheese.
6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Dish Tips:
Add any vegetables you have on hand along with the cheese. (Leftover spinach works great!)
If you have little bits of several different cheeses sitting in your fridge, use them. Any combination of cheese tastes good baked in a quiche.
The Community Says:
Yum. And without any meat, there's a good chance my eight-year-old might actually eat it!

I always serve quiche at parties. Great party food because it can be served cold or hot! Thanks for the easy recipe!

I have to give this one 3 stars... although it wins in the super-easy category, mine turned out a bit too "eggy" for my taste. Does anyone know how to diminish the egg taste?

Quiche is one of my daughter's favorite foods--- and I like it cause I hide broccoli and carrots and zuccini in it and she doesn't notice.

Quiche is one of the few dishes (besides max n cheese) my toddler will eat! I love trying out new recipes for it.

The great thing about quiche is you can put anything in (well, almost) - it's a great way to use up leftovers.

Anybody have any secrets on how to get your kids to eat quiche? My husband and I love it, but the kids..they won't even try it. And they like eggs! What can I put in it to make it taste a little kid friendlier (that won't ruin the taste for me and my hubby?)

I think I'd try it with whatever leftover veggies I have on hand - sounds easy enough!
