| 1 | Heat oven to 350° F.

| 2 | Cream butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until smooth.

| 3 | Add molasses and egg and beat well.
|
| 4 | Stir in salt, baking soda, cinnamon and ginger.
|
| 5 | Add flour and oats and stir well.
|
| 6 | Stir in raisins.
|
| 7 | Place spoonfuls on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
|
| 8 | Allow to cool for 12 minutes.
|
| 9 | Remove from cookie sheet and cool on cookie rack.
