A word processing program: Like Microsoft Word. |

Help your kid pick a digital picture (or three) to iron onto his pencil case. It can be of your kid or your kid's favorite thing: Spongebob, a princess, a Ferrari, chicken nuggets, whatever... You can use a picture from the stash on your hard drive or you can help you kid search for one on Google. Save the images on your computer.
| 2 |
Next, show your kid how to put the pictures in a Microsoft Word document. Just open a blank Word document, click "insert" then click on "picture" and "from file." Search your computer to find the pictures and click on them to add them to the document.
| 3 |
When you've got all of the pictures you want on the page, print the page on the iron-on paper using a photo printer.
| 4 |
Have your kid cut the pictures out.
| 5 |
Then, plug in the iron and hot glue gun (far away from your kids!) and prepare to start decorating!
| 6 |
While you're getting the hot stuff ready, have your kid look through ribbon and fabric to decide how he wants to decorate his case.
| 7 |
Have him cut a piece of fabric as big as the pencil case to use as his background. He can then start to arrange more fabric (if he wants) and the cut-out photos onto the big piece of fabric.
| 8 |
When he's got his design down, iron the picture on to the fabric he's chosen.
| 9 |
Next, use the hot glue gun to glue the whole she-bang onto the pencil case.
| 10 |
Glue on the rest of the embellishments wherever your kid wants them to go.
| 11 |
When you're all finished, put pencils, markers, erasers and glue sticks in your kid's pencil cases and send him to school!
