Go for a walk.
Walking: The most basic of human activities is also the healthiest (and easiest) thing for you to do! If you're mom to an infant, you've got it made: Just put your baby in a sling, carrier or a stroller and, well, stroll! Get yourself a good pair of walking or cross-training shoes and bring a bottle of water. Try to find a dirt path or soft surface to walk on, which minimizes the impact on your knees. Start with a brisk walk for 15 minutes, three to five times a week, and work your way up each week. And why not make it a family affair? An after-dinner walk also makes for nice family-bonding time.
