Invite your kid to make a Sleep Rules
poster or Sleep Manners Sticker Chart
with the kids sleep issues you want to correct. You can list the following generic rules: Stay in bed, close your eyes, stay quiet, go to sleep. Or pick whatever issues apply to your kid: Go to sleep without Mommy rubbing your back for 45 (exhausting!) minutes. Help your kid decorate the poster and pick out some irresistible rewards (like gummy bears or Matchbox cars) to dole out in the morning if he follows the rules.
