Food Fail: Burned Food
How to Fix It: Burned food doesn't necessarily mean disaster! If you smell something smoldering, remove the pot from the heat and ladle or pour the food into a fresh saucepan, taking care not to disturb or scrape the burned part from the bottom. Adding a little sugar to the recipe may remove any lingering burned flavor. But if you burn onions or garlic, toss 'em—there's no rescuing that bitter taste.
