Family Travel: What to Pack When Flying With Young Children
Diapers and Wipes
A good rule of thumb is two diapers for every hour you plan to be out, from the time you leave your house until you reach your destination ... and then pack five more in case of delays and reroutes. A pack or two of travel wipes can not only clean bottoms but also sanitize areas and clean up stains on clothes. Cloth-diaper users should pack extra diaper covers and liners (and even the greenest 'rents out there often use disposables during air travel, simply for the throwaway convenience).
