Tune Up Your Toaster
When was the last time you scraped the burnt cheese off the bottom of your toaster oven or dumped out the bagel crumbs from your upright model? De-crumb that toaster and clean the outside, too. But don't stick items down in the toaster to try to loosen crumbs or put anything damp inside, or you'll damage its inner workings. And, of course, unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
