Creepy Crawly Hair Clip Craft

Make bug-shaped barrettes with ribbon and pom-poms.

Bugs in your kid's hair? Don't freak out! The bugs on these crafty hair clips are cute, not creepy.
  • Colorful spring ribbon
  • Bright-colored craft pom-poms
  • Hot-glue gun and glue
  • Googly eyes
  • Plain hair barrettes
  • 1
    Have the kids arrange the pom-poms in their desired bug design.

    Older kids can help loop the ribbon into a big, tight bow.
  • 3
    Tie the ends of the bow onto the top of the barrette to secure.
  • 4
    Glue the pom-pom critter and googly eyes onto the bow, covering the barrette.
