Family Fun DIY Music Video
For some good ol' family fun, film your fam rockin' out in their own music video!
They say video killed the radio star ... and based on the unending hours our kids log in front of the Flip, they might be right! Radio might be dead, baby, but what kid doesn't love to see himself on a video screen? Get all Hollywood at home by filming a family music video. Can't afford to hire Spielberg to play director for the afternoon? No problem! You can record your own melodic memories with a few simple production tips:
Set up a video camera. It's not just for catching first steps and birthday parties! Pick someone with a super-steady hand (so it doesn't look like it was shot on a roller coaster) or set up a tripod so everyone can rock!
Play dress-up! Have kids and parents dress up and jam on toy instruments (or real ones if you're not worried about any Pete Townsend-esque guitar smashing). You can lip-synch to your favorite song or make up a new one if you're a lyrical genius.
Share your digital moves. Post your finished production online with your loved ones over email or on sites like YouTube.
Whether you rock your onscreen air guitar to the Wiggles or Aerosmith, don't forget: When it comes to making memories with your kids, it's not about the moves, it's about the family fun!
