Play Pretend with Your Kids

Pretend play is about your child exploring new and different roles. You can add a unique spin to playing house, for example, by switching roles. Ask her to be the Mommy! Take note of how she acts and listen to what she says. Not only is it fun for her to play "you," it will be fascinating (and probably rather telling, if not downright scary!) for you to see yourself through your child's eyes.
