Rhyming Lame ... We Mean Game!
Make sense of nonsense with this simple rhyming game.
- Rhyme maker:You
- Rhyme corrector:Your kid
- Say a simple sentence, but change the last word to one that rhymes with the one you want to say, For example: "Say night-night, it's time for bread" (instead of bed).
- Ask your child to call out the right word, e.g., "bed!" Kids love correcting their parents. (And that's never gonna end. Just wait until he's a teen!)
- Trade places. Ask your child to come up with a rhyming word and correct him. Not only are you giving his vocabulary a workout, you may be grooming a future rap star with this game. Move over Jay-Z, here comes Lil' Cray-Z!
