Finger Paint Recipe
Looking for a fun way to combine cooking and crafts? Make your own finger paints ... then let your kids have a fun making a mess while painting!
4 cups water
½ cup cornstarch
¼ cup soap flakes: The old-fashioned kind of soap your grandma used to use to do laundry. You can find it online and maybe even at your grocery store.
A few drops glycerin: Again, check online or at your local craft store.
A few drops food coloring
Instructions:
1) Mix together the water and the cornstarch, stirring constantly.
2) Cook over medium heat until the mixture is clear.
3) Mix in the soap flakes.
4) Remove from heat and divide into portions (as many portions as you'd like to have colors).
5) Add a few drops of glycerin and food coloring to each portion and stir well.
