Motivate With Music
Listen to music that moves you.
Songs seem to understand our moods like nothing else—when we're excited (we're SO excited), sad (we're down and troubled and need a helping hand) or worried (don't worry, be happy)!
Recent medical reports say that doctors may start prescribing music to patients as they would medicine. Imagine telling your doctor you've been feeling a little blue and have him write you a prescription for your favorite Beatles album. Or maybe you have a terrible headache and the doc tells you to listen to two songs and call him in the morning!
It's not so crazy, right? Think about how your favorite song makes you feel—we love when U2 says we look so beautiful tonight or Justin calls us senorita and confesses his undying love. Talk about musical warm fuzzies!
You're probably moved by music, too. You make specific playlists for working out because each song energizes you (doesn't the theme from Rocky inspire you to run one more mile?). It's no different with your kids so tune into their favorite songs and use them to help tame temper tantrums or ease your babes into sleepy time.
The benefits of music are endless when it comes to you and your kids—it can help reduce stress, lift your spirits and even motivate (hence the whole Rocky thing). So pump up the jam and watch your kids go from grumpy to giddy in mere minutes!
