About to have a new baby on the board..
In 2 days I will be getting induced to have my baby girl. I have the carseat installed, both the diaper bag and me and hubby's bag is packed and in the car already. Is there anything else we need to do to prepare? We're both too excited to sleep, so napping or catching up on sleep is kinda out of the question. LOL. Not everything is in the car, but I do have a list of last minute things posted all over the house just in case. Just looking for advice from other mommies. Can't wait to be on this board!!!!!
Thanks! I didn't get to sleep last night til 4 a.m. because I was too nervous and excited but I slept til about 10 a.m. so I got my usual 6 hours of sleep. I'm hoping tonight I go to bed by midnight at the latest because I have to be at the hospital before 7 a.m. EEK! I don't expect to actually have the baby til early Friday morning because my doctor said my cervix wasn't favorable to induce, but would anyways because of 'social conflicts' (a.k.a. Hubby starts his new job Saturday) so I think it may take a little longer than normal. I am forcing myself not to nap during the day today because if I do, I won't sleep tonight though. So hopefully I'll sleep tonight although I'll probably be to excited. LOL
Congrats in advance! I was induced too. Let me tell you now..if I could turn back time I would have slept as MUCHHH as I possibly could. I ended up not getting induced till 7pm..so I was up all day before hand and then was in pain all night..and didn't have my son till 7am. (12 hours, not too bad for first baby!). We ended up not sleeping for about a week. I mean we slept off an on, but no good sleep for a solid week. Rest up as much as you can, because that baby is coming, and she will most certainly want all of your attention when you're the most tired! Best of luck to you and your husband! :)
