Aquadoria's Birth Story

I was due August 24th and was induced on the morning of the 27th. I went in the night before. They started me with Cervidil and left it in overnight. Come 7 am, I took a shower and the doc broke my waters and started pitocin. Around 12 pm I wanted IV pain meds. Around 3 I was loopy from the meds (It doesn't take much for me! lol!) So I asked for the epidural. Well the stupid nurse put the catheter in wrong, so I felt pain in my "who-ha" with every contraction I had.

Then at 7 pm I went from 7 cm to 9.5 and was told not to push till I was 10 cm. At that time the epidural machine shut off, so I got to "not push" for 2 hours with no pain relief! Oh good god it hurt so bad! Then at 9 30 pm I got to push and I was so relieved!

I pushed for an hour an a half with no pain relief AND with no progress. The doc started asking about a c-section. I cried and began begging him to just do it. I had had enough!!

At 12:16 am on 8-28-2009 my beautiful baby boy was born. I had 15 staples and a blood transfusion afterward. When I got home I developed a fever, chills, and a horrid cough that left me unable to breathe. I went to the ER and found out I had pneumonia. Then one week after getting over it, hubby got bronchitis!
