Birth Story: Byron Randal's Big Day
Submitted by shudgins24
My due date was November 7th but by my 39th week my doctor decided to induce me because she was concerned with how big I was getting. Not to mention I was having consistent contractions and nothing was happening. I went in at 6AM on October 30th and was started on pitocin and my bag was broken.
I was in labor for 6 hours before deciding to get an epidural. It took 20 minutes for them to get the epidural right because I have scoliosis, which I was unaware of at the time, and they kept missing. An hour after I received my epidural my doctor decided that I wasn't going to go any farther on my own and decided on a C-section.
I've got to be completely honest I was happy to hear him say that because I was afraid of a vaginal birth. It wasn't until they were delivering him that they noticed that he was lying sideways and that's why my labor stopped.
He's almost 2 months now and even though I'm still sore I am happy to have him.
