We went in to be induced on Feb. 25th 2009. When the nurses came in one said "O.K. are we ready for our c-section?" My husband and I were like "Um.. NO! We are just being induced." They had 2 inductions and 2 scheduled c-sections that morning and she just mixed us up. Ha ha! So funny!
This was my third baby in 2 1/2 years, so they expected him to come pretty fast. Everything started off great and they said he was coming so fast that I should go ahead and get the epidural. This was at 8:30am, they were expecting him by noon.
By 4:00 they said I was still at a 9 and they were gonna call the doctor to see what he wanted to do. The next time the nurses came in they were wearing scrub caps and they said that the baby was probably "sunny side up" and he was stuck so I needed to have a c-section.
Finally at 6:27 he was finally born!
While they were sewing me I started to get some major chest pain so they gave me some very crazy drugs! I had never experienced anything like it before! I forgot I had my baby, I thought we had changed rooms because the ceiling looked different, and I kept apologizing for being so weird! It was definitely an experience I will never forget, but he is my last baby for sure!
It was very scary and painful but every time I look at my son I feel so much love that I know it was totally worth it! My first two births were so easy and pain free. Thank god for the man who invented the epidural!
