Giovanni's Birth Story

My due date was June 16th, but by this time I was too hot and tired and couldn't wait to meet my little guy. So they induced me on my due date. I get to the hospital at 7 am—no sleep the night before, big breakfast—thinking it was going to be easy. They started pitocin through me and I laid there for hours, but nothing happened. So they kept pumping it in. Finally someone comes in to see me and to see if I'm dilating. Well I wasn't, so they stuck a rubber tube in that filled with water to help. That didn't help, so finally at about midnight they broke my water and I quickly dilated to 6 cm... and didn't get the epidural till I was about 7!
They decided to put me on my hands and knees to make his little butt come down. I was like that for about an hour to almost two, and then they sat me straight up which made my epidural fall out. :( So finally, at about 1:30, I was ready to push. So I had to wait for the darn doctor to come and I was just pushing on my own. Finally she showed up. After maybe 25 minutes of pushing, I got really tired and My Little Prince was out at 1:54. 6 pounds 17 ounces.
