ltay35's Birth Story

Submitted by ltay35
The doctor scheduled my c-section the day after my due date. (Why? I have no idea.) But 5 days before my due date, I had a doctor appointment. I was at 1 cm and the doctor stripped my membranes. (No, I did not know she was going to do that.) and sent me home.
That night about 4 am labor started. I had to wait until the daycare opened before we could go to the hospital because my family was 3 hours away. So at about 7:30 we made it to the hospital, then had to wait another 2 hours before she was born by c-section.

She had to be on oxygen for 24hours, but other than that she was healthy. The one memory that sticks out is the resident doctor assisting mine was an Asian guy who got in my face while they were putting in the spinal beacause I was having some major contractions. In his broken up English he started yelling at me, "Blow Mo Blow!" (My last name is Mosely.) I started laughing so hard I was crying. I didn't like my doctor, but I loved the resident doctor!
