Labor started at noon while I was at work. I finished the day at 5:00, then meet up with hubby, made him take me out to supper, (didn't eat though, just needed something to do while I waited). At about 1:00 am we went to the hospital and by this time I was only a 2. At 4 am got an epidural, and I was only a 4 then.
At that point the doctor broke my water and found meconium, so I got hooked up to internal monitor and found out the baby's heartbeat wasn't reacting during contractions. They put me on oxygen until the doctor arrived.
My contractions went from 2 minutes apart to 10 minutes during the next couple of hours. At about 10 am the doctor came in and told me that there was something wrong with my baby and they were going to do a c-section.
Baby was born at 10:43 am on my hubby's birthday. She was perfectly healthy.
