Liliana's Birth Story

On Saturday April 10th 2010 at 6:33am my little girl was born!!!
It was Friday night and me and her daddy went to sleep early since I felt sleepy, but at 1am on Saturday I began feeling some pains. I thought well these might be just the false pains, but suddenly they came every 2 mins, then every minute and 1/2, and they got stronger. We decided to call the doctor, and arrived at the hospital at 3am. To our surprise I had already dilated 3cm...BUT the baby was not in position so the docs decided on a Cesarean birth. Sadly the lady that had arrived just before me who also had a cesarean, had some complications and I had to wait about an hour longer to enter, but instead it took them 2hrs and by then I had dilated 9cm...trust me it was painful, but from the advice from my mother I did not scream but tried to keep calm every time the contractions hit which by now they followed every few seconds.
Finally at about 5:50am they took me to the delivery room, as soon as they put in the shot the pain slowly went away and I began feeling numb, by 6:33am my baby came out, which was not as easy as I thought since she kept slipping off and did not want to come out.
Sadly, since she was a few weeks premature, she still needs to stay in the hospital, but docs says that gives me more of a chance to recover. She was born at 34 weeks, but everything thank goodness was ok with her, she only needs to gain some more weight and be able to eat on her own with out help...BUT she had proven to be a STRONG baby!!! I just can't wait till my one can come home. I LOVE HER!!!
