The Greatest Gift

The year was a tough one. I had just lost my loving and dear grandma just a few weeks before my baby was born. Everyone was heartbroken but they tried to stay calm around me since my baby was on the way and they did not want me to stress and worry. However, on the inside I was stressed and worried that my grandma would not get to see her first great grandchild. Then on Christmas Eve, I started having contractions and we went to the hospital. Since this was my first baby I was worried, scared, and still heartbroken. It was painful yes but at 8:00am on Christmas Day, my little Christmas gift was born. His arrival had put a smile in my family's heart. When my husband said "Hi Ezekiel" he turned his head the same direction my husband was sitting. It was the best Christmas Gift I had ever received.
