Birth Stories: Ryder's wonderful Birth

Submitted by ronsgirl
It was 2:30A.M. September 17, 2009 i woke up to go use the bathroom. And as i got there i wet my pants. Well i thought i pee'd my pants at first, but then i realized my water had broke. I told my husband i was going to call the doctor. As he layed in bed. As he always say's today he thought the doctor would tell us to come in a couple hours. But as i got off the phone i told him we had to go right away. I had never seen him fly out of bed like that and get ready that fast. It seem like we got to the hospital in half the time. I went into active labor after my water broke. From having no contractions to water breaking to hardcore contractions 1 to 3 minutes apart. We got to the hospital and got to triage on the labor and delivery floor. I was already dilated to three centimeters . They got me back to a room and hooked me up. Not even an hour later i was already at a five. My husband went got something to eat and brought it back up. They started bring tables and supplies in and he said the funniest thing are we doing this now. He's always so anxious. Well i finally got my epidural. Highly recommend it. I didn't show my pain or scream or cry like some women, i just breath through the contractions . I doesn't help to tense up or yell just stay relaxed. I think it helps labor being shorter. Well one hour later i was a six. And then two hours later i was ready to deliver . Only eight hours of labor. I was shocked because this was my first child. I pushed for thirty minutes and then my son Ryder was born. The most amazing thing you can do as a women is having a child that you created. I can say walking everyday helped the labor and pushing.
