Amirah's Birth Story :)

it was a lovely september day and me and my one year old daughter, Aaliyah, were making some cookies, (well ok i was she was just eating everything and making a mess) My husband had left for work about an hour ago in the next town over, a good 40minutes drive. I had felt strange all morning but just put it down to the baby moving lower in my uterus and that my morning sickness was coming back (i had morning sickness in my 8th month with my first) i had just got the cookies out of the oven and was putting my daughter down for a nap when i felt a sharp twinge in my stomach, so i rang the midwife who was coming over to check me over. all of a sudden WOOSSSHHHHH!!! my waters broke there and then all over my daughters bedroom floor. I rang my husband who said he would wrap things up at his work and come straight home. The midwife came just when my contractions started. I was supposed to be going to the hospital but instead Amirah made her appearance in my hallway to the shock of me and my midwife. She was 10 minutes old when her daddy finally came home looking a little shocked and confused.
