Just in Time for the Holidays!

My husband and I wanted to wait til we got out of college and had jobs before we got married and decided to have kids. You know you can't plan everything in life. I was a senior in high school and the whole month of April I told my friends that I knew I was pregnant. They didnt believe me. I was in choir and we were putting on what we called the spring show at the end of April and my mom and I went to eat before and she decided to go buy me a pregnancy test. I took it in Wal-Mart bathroom and of course it read pregnant. I called and told Eric and he did not believe me.
About 2 weeks later I went to the doctor to find out for sure and I was pregnant 6 weeks pregnant. I was so excited but I had no idea what to expect. My husband and I told our parents and brothers and grandparents and decided we wanted to go ahead and get married. We did in July and it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen.;).
As the days went on I continued to go to college. My baby was due on December 24th. So I had decided I was going to finish that semester ans just sit out the next. As I said before you cant plan things in life. At school I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs and I kept getting dizzy and getting up and down made me dizzy also. I always felt awful. I was now in my 7th month. I went to the doctor to find out that I has toxemia also known as preclampsia. Dr. Ganapathy told me that I could still have the baby natural if I could keep my blood pressure regulated. He took me out of school and put me on bed rest.
On November 23rd I went into the ER because my blood pressure was 120 over 110. He kept me over night and sent me home and told me to come back to his office Wednesday afternoon. He told me to be at the Hospital at 7:00 Friday morning that he was going to induce me. I wasn't so happy with this but I had to do what was best for me and my baby girl. Wednesday night I checked my blood pressure and it was 142 over 112. I called him and he told me to get to the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital he decided to tell me that I was going to have an emergency c-section. At 8:32 my baby girl Haven Elizabeth was born as healthy as ever weighing 6lbs 5.5 ounces. I could only imagine if I would have carried her full term!
Always remember you can't plan everything in life.
