2 Months Premature

I never thought I would be as scared and worried as I was the day my baby girl Izabella was born. She was two months early to the day. I could not see my little girl for 4 hours while a support team from Trinity Medical center—an hour and half away from home—came to pick her up. The first time I saw her was through a isolate with tubes and wires attached to her. I was terrified she would not make it, and all I could think about was getting a call saying she was no longer with us.
The doctors did not want to let me leave. After about twelve hours of begging, I finally left the hospital. The doctors that were taking care of Izabella told me she wouldn't have made it if she did not get to the hospital. When she did, her lungs were not fully developed and she could not breath on her own or even eat. She had to be fed through a tube and wear an oxygen mask. After one long month, she was finally able to come home and now I cannot imagine ever leaving her. She is a miracle baby.
