Bellybean's birth story

I was exactly a week overdue so I got induced, they induced me at 12 noon and I started having contractions not even an hour later. At 11 that night my contractions were all over the place, we're pretty strong and we're about a min to a min and a half apart, I went to the hospital and they gave me morphine to slow them down and sent me back home! 10 oclock the next morning I went back in and I was 4 cm dilated so they admitted me. My labor wasn't really progressing..until they broke my water around 3:30 pm I immediately went into active labor but I wasn't allowed to sit still because she was faced in the wrong direction. So they had me bounce on a ball in the shower while having a contraction which was the most painful thing ever! At about 5:50 pm I was 6 cm.. 15 mins later they didn't believe me when I told them it felt like she was going to fall out but they finally checked me and I was 10 cm dialated and it was time to push! I didn't have any pain meds at all but after about 25 mins of pushing she plopped out at 6:27 pm, they put her heavy 8lbs 5 oz body on my chest and it was the happiest feeling I ever felt... until they realized she wasn't crying or breathing.. they rushed her away and later told me when she was being delivered she had inhaled an excessive amount of amniotic fluid into her lungs. She was in the NICU with tubes everywhere so her lungs wouldn't collapse but after 6 days she was healthy and I was able to take her home! She is now 7 months old and 21 lbs!!
