Alyia's Birth Story

I was 22 weeks pregnant and went into labor! A few days later I went back into labor again and it couldn't be stopped. I gave birth to a baby girl at 23 weeks and 4 days. :) My daughter Alyia was born 16 1/2 weeks early. Talk about something scary. She spent the next five or so months in the hospital in the NICU. Today she is 13 months old and is doing great! She is still tiny for her age and has a few health issues but she is here, and that's all that matters.

I love my daughter and wouldn't trade the pain for anything. My husband and I tried for 13 years before I had got pregnant to begin with, so she is well worth it and is VERY spoiled.
