Mason and Kaden's Birth Story

After a LONG, (repeat LONG ...) pregnancy with my (what I thought were) twin girls, on a very chilly night, I finally made my way into the hospital for a C-section. I had picked out pretty little dresses, skirts and pink hats for my little girls. Little did I know, both babies turned out to be boys.
The look on the doctor's face when they came out pretty much made my heart stop. I thought something had gone wrong. But the nurses holding them had big smiles, as the doctor told me they were twin boys. So much for all those little pink outfits. I will admit I was just a little mad, but when I got to hold by little baby boys, it was totally worth it.
Yes, the boys did sleep with pink blankets and pillows on their first night home, but the next day, my hubby did go shopping for some boy things. Mason was 2 pounds, 2 ounces, and Kaden was 2 pounds, 4 ounces. Today, they are 1 year old, and they have plenty of boy things now. The old girl things now belong (or will belong) to my daughter Isabella, who is coming in September 2011. Let's hope they predicted that gender correctly!
