Milah's Birth Story
Submitted by shicad
My husband of four years and I went to my OB appt the morning of June 11. I was 39 weeks along. Then we went to eat at Joe's Crab Shack after we went home to plan our night. I decided on bowling, and after my nap of 3 hours, my mom, my 3-year-old, my hubby and I all went bowling.
I bowled a few games, then I got tired and went to the bathroom, came back to my son and hubby to finish our game, and seconds later my water broke. I thought I was just passing gas. We packed our things to head to the hospital. The amazing thing was that I kept my hospital bag in the trunk. My son asked Daddy if the two could stay and finish bowling while mommy and Granny J go to get Milah out!
We arrived at the hospital. I was laying in bed, for a natural birth, from 7 PM to 12:48 AM. I was so hot I threw up. I threw towels, I had fans blowing and the entire staff was freezing! I pushed for one minute until my baby popped out. The doctor almost dropped her. My son was in the room during the delivery and till this day, he tells everyone about the birth and asks if we can we do it again for our anniversary!
