Hope Layne's Birth Story

Hope is my Third Biological Child.I had adopted My Sister Anna-Kate's baby girl after she suffered a Massive Stroke during Labor. We buried her December 5, 2008. Then January 29, 2009 My Husband Donny had a Massive Heart Attack and passed away. Donny and I had been together Since November of 2003 and Married New Years Eve. We tried to have a baby our own from the time the Doctor told us it was OK to try after Brendan was born in May. and never did get pregnant. Donny was the Best Daddy to Sarah, Brendan & Lucy, what little time he got to spend with her. I'm just trying to maintain, keep it together for work and The Children. I had made Dective Status In September of 2009. One day about Six weeks after He died I passed ou at the station, and the chief carried me to his car and rushed me to the ER. I was nearly Seven weks pregnant!!! With Donny's baby. at first I didn't know how to react and I managed to maintain my composure until the OBGYNIE done the first Ultrasound at 12 weeks. I barely made it out of the office until I just started weeping, and along came a Neurosurgeon and asked me was I OK. I tried to tell him, but I was crying to hard so he just wrapped his arms around me. We started talking formed a bond, then a relationship, I didn't know it then, but he was my Future Husband. He supported me, helped me withe kids, bought me a new car etc. September1 gets here and mind you I am about a week and a half late at that point, so huge I couldn't drive, My friend Maggie was having to drive Sarah & Brendan to school. I told Maggie not to go too far I was having mild contractions. She said she had to run to the Market and would bring us back some breakfast back. She had just pulled out of the drive way when I had a huge contraction followed by my water breaking Maggie rushes back as soon as sh drops the kids at school and gathers Lucy's diaper bag, her Formula & bags of Frozen Breast milk, because I worked with Lactation Specialist at the hospital and had been nursing Lucy since she was born, Maggie got everything Lucy needed and made Sure her Baby Jacoby, had everything he needed the we dropped them of at Maggie's Aunts house and she explained to her how to pick up Sarah and Brendan and off we went to Nashville. we got to the hospital at about 8:45 AM, they had me dress in a gown and put me in bed, and I was hurtin but I wasn't screaming. She checked My Cervix and said "Oh My God Your complete Mrs. Ware and she got on the phone to the on-call doctor and set up a table and broke down the Bed, we'd been trying to reach Michael and he come in there running, out of Breath just as the doctor was telling me to Push. My Third Daughter was born at 9:02 AM on September 1, 2009. Michael asked me what should we name her, because we had already decided to put his name on her Birth Certificate. Ii was almost like an angel whispered these words in my ear "She's the Hope Donny left for you" and I had tears running down my Cheeks and I said "Hope, because she is the Hope Donny left for me". Tears ran down Michael and Maggie's face as well, and Maggie picked Layne because it was her Great-Grandma's name. Hope Layne Buchanan weighed Ten Pounds and had a head full of red hair. I firmly believe that Donny did leave me Hope she connected me to Michael and his wonderful family. She's nearly Sixteen Months old Now an is trying real hard to adjust to her Mommy just having Triplet that she carried to term! She loves to "help" Mommy clean, watch Dora Kai Lan & The Fresh Beat Band (could shot the TV with my 22 when that on is on), she loves to help or watch Her Oldest Brother and Oldest Sister Practice their dance routines and their Karate Moves. She's very sweet and cuddly and has her Daddy(Michael) wrapped around her little fingers. She' Our Hope and we are blessed and Honored to be her Parents.
