Ashley's Birth Story

I had become pregnant around my birthday with my now-1-year-old son. Once I found out for sure that there was a tiny life inside of me, I didn't accept it. I had been told from an early age I could never have children due to past problems from my childhood.
I was scared. I tried reading books to prep myself for what was going to happen. I never had any type of problem. Which made it harder for me to believe that I was pregnant. I grew maybe to about the average four-month pregnancy belly and I was not growing any more. I was deathly afraid that something was wrong and demanded that testing be done. The baby was normal and healthy, and nothing put up a red flag. So I went the remainder of the pregnancy being careful.
I went in to see my doctor and we found out I was in labor and was dilated to a 3. I didn't go home. I didn't go past a three at all and my blood pressure was rapidly progressing. They decided that for the health of both baby and me, it would be safer to go ahead and take him.
He was the most perfect baby I ever laid my eyes on. He looked like one of those dolls that look so real. I couldn't believe that I had just given birth to a full-term baby boy. He was tiny but had no health problems. And today, I am pregnant with my second, a little girl. I couldn't ask for anything more.
