Angel's Birth Story

I was 14 when I got pregnant, and I didn't tell anyone other than the father. I didn't even tell my parents. I was too scared—the father of my daughter left me when I was six months pregnant. I still went and visited his parents but he wouldn't speak to me.
The night I went into labour was the first time my mom heard me say I was pregnant. She was in shock. I had no prenatal care, and the doctors had to call in a pediatrician to be there when my daughter was born to make sure she was healthy. My daughter was born healthy and on term, and having her was the best thing that has ever happened to me.
The reason I put my daughter's birth story on here is for any teens looking on this site and thinking of keeping their pregnancies to themselves. I want them to read this and realise it's hard, and not having support or being able to talk about it is stressful. Your parents will get over it—you are their flesh and blood and they love you.
