Breastfeeding breasts don't require a ton of extra care, but taking the following steps can help keep them feeling good and prevent breastfeeding issues while you're nursing:
report abuse- Avoid soaps, especially on your nipples.
- Always wash your hands before handling your breasts, especially before feedings.
- Be sure to wear bras that provide enough support. You may need to size up during your nursing days!
- Skip the spendy creams and lotions. If your nipples are tender, try rubbing in a few drops of milk and letting it dry. Also, exposing your nipples to air and light can help keep the soreness at bay.
